The entire driving force behind the conception of the story is credited to Tyler completely. When we started the production of the short film, he already had a clear vision in his head of what he wanted the story to be. In fact, he had the whole story completed in one sitting at his computer. The passion he had for the story had convinced me that this would be the one.
The film will be about Rosemarie, the operator of a music venue/bar, Don, her underling who helps out, as well as some other reoccurring background characters. In order to have an idea for the intro, Tyler had come up with a structure for the whole film. The film would use the short vignette structure of Pulp Fiction, while its humor would be the dry and sardonic style of Clerks. The first vignette he wrote would be the intro to the film; Rosemarie and Don would walk around the bar doing work while talking about Don's failed relationship with a man with weird fetishes. Tyler purposely wrote Don as gay, as to make it clear that there was no romantic interest between the two. I have made some changes to the script myself, mainly grammatical changes or making the dialogue a little more realistic/engaging. So, at this point, our script is unofficially complete.
